I’ve never been very good at surprises. If it was for me, I was always trying to get everyone to tell me what they had planned, reminding them that I “hated surprises”. And if I was surprising someone else, there’s a tiny part of me that always wants to tell them, simply because I hate keeping things from people especially when it’s going to be that great! However, this time was different. We were surprising my brother for his 21st birthday, and so far nobody had slipped up! (Okay there may have been one or two instances, however Chris didn’t piece it together, thankfully!)
You may remember this post that I wrote for my brother’s birthday…I’m pretty sure that was the icing on the cake for him believing we wouldn’t be able to celebrate in Boston with him! Little did he know, when that blog posted our bags were packed and we were counting down the hours to board that Delta flight to make our way to Boston!
To say it was all worth it was an understatement, the look on Chris’s face when he walked into that room and realized Randy and I were sitting right in front of him, was beyond priceless. Surprise accomplished!
Randy and I spent the next few days in Boston hanging out with my parents, brother and his girlfriend. We laughed a lot, walked a lot, shared some incredible meals, and just had an amazing time overall!
Happy Birthday!
Showing off his new bow tie!
On Fridays, they make Gluten Free cookies! Amazing.
One of us was very excited about Curious George and the other about Bubble Tea…. (he may or may not have dressed up as the man in the yellow hat as a child!)
