This was not my first time photographing the Fraser family. In fact, three years ago I had the honour of photographing Pam’s baby shower for her son, Braeden! Pam and her husband Jamie are such wonderful parents, and it is so obvious in the way they speak to and interact with Braeden, and now in the way they care for their newest addition, Aela.
Aela was a beautiful 10 days new at our session – unfortunately it was obvious that Aela was having a bit of a rough day during our scheduled session, so we arranged a follow up session the following week. At that time Aela was an absolute dream to photograph! She slept the entire session and curled up into all of those adorable newborn positions!

I particularly loved this session because there were so many details that meant so much to the family! For instance, the beautiful cream coloured blanket that we placed Aela on is the same blanket that her grandmother was brought home from the hospital in! Seriously?! Little details like that just make these sessions all the more wonderful!!
