Oh friends, I am just so excited to share this collection of maternity images with you!
When Alaina first contacted me, we went back and forth a few times deciding upon the perfect location for their maternity session. However, when she mentioned Cambridge beaches and that it was where Jason proposed, I knew it would be perfect! We arrived at the hotel grounds for sunset, and it was so quiet with the perfect soft light found only as the sun slowly sets. We started the session with just portraits of Alaina, but when Jason joined her – oh my goodness, magic happened. Being in front of the camera- truly being yourself, and letting real moments happen in front of the camera with someone you love, is not always an easy task. It’s rare to find it as a photographer, but these two were so natural and so romantic.

I also love that we included a few images that aren’t necessarily focused on her expecting belly, but instead capture exactly where they are at in their life right now- that excitement, that anticipation, and deep love for one another. The beauty of motherhood at it’s very beginning. They will have these portraits when they are old and gray, share a smile, and know that they were expecting their first child in that picture- even if no one else in the room knows. I just love that!
